I should be fired from having a blog. I used to keep up with it daily, now I don't even remember I have one.
Its pathetic because I use to give Bradd a hard time about blogging and now I don't.
Any who, I have been busy getting ready for our newest member of our family,Benjamin. Which I am extremely excited about. Bradd is still in the sand box (Iraq) he sadly will be missing Ben's birth but hope he comes home soon after because of now his return date is up in the air. I told him he should have mailed himself in that treasure chest he mailed home... but then again its still not here so bad idea.
He of course is doing well, wishing he could just come home now. I hear from him every few days mostly through email. And the occasional phone calls. Hoping he calls me soon its been two days since I last spoke with him and that's just too long for me now. He always said the last few months of this deployment were going to be the hardest. Now all I do is wait...

Well well well, it's been a long time since I have written on here so I figured I should update you all. I am here in Iraq, I have been here for about a month now. It's not all that bad, I have had to do somethings I hoped I would never have to do, such is life. We found out that we are having a baby boy! IT IS SUCH GREAT NEWS! We wanted to have a boy first. I miss her so very very much. I miss all my family very much. I love you baby love! I will be home before you know it. I would like to expand on some of the things I have been doing out here, but due to where I am I can't, sorry. Any way I have to get going, to all of you who read this take care and love to all your families. To Jaimie: I love you darling. Tell Ben and Dex I love them and miss them very much! I spoke with Bradd Monday morning, He is doing pretty good, just getting through his time in Iraq. And counting down the days till we know if its going to be Karter or Benjamin.
I really don't care what we have as long as he/she is healthy... two more days!

I will let everyone know the gender as soon as I let Bradd know.

Okay I know its been too long since we posted anything. I just have been having internet problems.
Update: Bradd has been in Iraq for about a month now and I've spoken to him about twice. thirty minutes each time or less because Iraq minutes are timed shorter than here ha ha ha.
The baby is doing great, I feel he/she move constantly, which I find so wonderful!
I get to find out the sex of the baby on Thursday but I can't tell anyone till I let Bradd know. I promised.
oh I cut my hair really short! like its way above my shoulders! I love it so so much.
Over all we are doing good just missing each other but getting through a day at a time.

I have been working on my navy wife journal. . . I can't wait to finish it because that means both baby and daddy get to be home with mommy!!

Jeez! How long has it been since I have blogged something?! Well I have been working a bookstore for 2 weeks its kinda fun but I don't think that I will keep.
Well its been about 2 weeks since I talked to Bradd and I am hoping I get to talk to him sometime this weekend. I have so much to tell him, its like we have our own separate lives now.
Any who, I miss all my friends I hardly have anytime to hangout or call them. I will try and visit you all next week. I won't be working so I will definitely have a lot more time plus I have some cool news!!!

I am so not ready for this deployment. I am so not ready to leave the ones that mean so much to me. I am so not ready to leave the one true love of my life, Jaimie. I love her so much. I miss her more and more every day. It makes my heart hurt. When ever I see a picture of her, or a picture of me holding her I am envious of every thing that is around her when I can not be. Thank you Jaimie for choosing me, thank you for loving me like you do. Thank you for being patient with everything you have to deal with. You are the strongest person I have ever meet, the sweetest woman I have ever known, the coolest chick I have ever had the privilege of being with. I miss you Jaimie, and love you something fierce.

I would like to apologize, both Jaimie and I have not been able to write on our blog due to both of us having problems with our Internet. Currently I am back in Cali. waiting to go to training for my deployment. I am here missing my darling Jaimie something fierce. I am so ready to be back so I can be with her always. I love you Jaimie, more than you will ever know. Jaimie is currently in AZ with her family. As far as I know she is waiting to start working at a book store for a brief amount of time. So we took a trip down to Fresno today, it was fun. The drive seemed quite long, maybe because I was a bit tired. We went up there to pick up some yummy pie from Marie Calender's. On our way we decided to get something to eat, we tossed around the idea of having either a burger or Chinese food. SO.....we decided Panda Express. I (Bradd) haven't been there in some time so my order was a little different than what I was kinda wanting. I asked them if they had Sesame Chicken, they said no...tear....than I asked if they had spicy orange chicken....she just looked at me as if I were from a different planet. She said you want spicy chicken and orange chicken, so to make the experience less annoying I just said yes. I than asked for crab Rangoon, she looked at me again with those daggers in her eyes and said 'we have cream cheese Rangoon'. I said that's fine. Well the food was pretty good, compared to the cardboard flavored sauced food they call Chinese food on base. After that we went to this little shopping center. It was pretty cute, it was in a more wealthy part of town, so naturally there were several very nice/expensive shops. We stopped by a store that had a ton of cooking type stuff.......MY FAVORITE TYPE OF STORE!!!! we were there for about an hour or so. So we stopped by Cold Stone and got some ice cream..YUMMY! After a few bites at the worlds greatest ice cream store we stopped by Marie Calender's for the pie. We couldn't decide on any one pie so we got 4 different types 1 piece each. We got Lemon Moraine, Key Lime, Double Cream Blueberry and Double Cream Lemon. SO GOOD!!! What a fun little trip.

Sunday night Bradd and I decided to go to the Mesa Temple and see all the beautiful lights. It was really cold so we walked around a little met a really cool MIssionary, forgot his name but I can remember him saying he was from california. He got all excited when Bradd told him he had family there.

Hey sorry I have not blogged much lately but I have been quite busy with things but a few days ago a group of us went out to dinner at Tia Rosa (Megan,Brock,Jessica,Chris,Bradd and I) then we headed to Down town Mesa where they were having a "art" sale and car show. I had Bradd take photos of some of the statues there.

Guess who was there?! give up? well Santa was there and Jessica and I decided we would take a picture with the jolly good fellow!! aka Santa!

So Bradd and I are having a photo session on Monday with Jessica's good friend Jo. I am so excited because our them will be more like the 1940's vintage pictures. I have been looking all over for the perfect vintage dress or outfits. I found some awesome dresses at www.layerclothing.com but for it to ship to my house by Saturday is quite expensive and not in this months budget. I know Jaimie on a budget whats that all about? lol
Any way, if any one knows where to find cute vintage clothes please let me know ASAP! I am going to the Buffalo Exchange and sir Alistair Rai.

I don't know when i started loving vintage I think it was when I realized I was born way too late for my time. I mean i would have been born in the 30's-60's or sooner. I would have had the time of my life. Don't get me wrong I am having the time of my life but I just love how all these pretty, beautiful "old" things look and make me feel. I was telling Bradd that the most expensive shoe I own at the moment are my $100 or so Linea Paolo pumps. He thought I had said $600 ha ha... I asked him would you be upset if I had purchased such expensive shoes, he said "ya!" well good thing I didn't right, love?

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for my wonderful family and my great friends, and most of all the love of my life Bradd. (sadly he was not able to be with us)
Of course thankful for the Gospel for it being a big part of my life.

I hope that everyone had a great thanksgiving and no one got sick from eating too much good food. I know I was stuffed to the rim, but I didn't eat much at all. ;)

Yes, yesterday was Thanksgiving. It was a good day out side, the kind of weather I love cloudy/rainy/cool. I to have so much to be thankful for my loving family and friends and the most beautiful woman in the world, the love of my life, my sun and stars Jaimie. Well, me and Jaimie got to watch some movies recently. We watched I Am Legend the other day, Jaimie said she only saw half of it prior, but in all reality she only saw like a quarter of it. Yesterday we watched The Breakup. Another good movie. We wanted to watch Enemy At The Gates, BUT her bother doesn't know where it's at! oh well. I cant wait to watch some more movies with her, but actually with her.
We also talked about how we both like watching war movies! Which is every mans dream!! To have there woman want to watch a movie that the guy likes.

So I baked a cake today! Its a Carrot Cake with Maple cream cheese icing... I can't wait to taste it.

Yes I did vote, but I voted several weeks ago. I would have done it the normal way, but I don't live in my home of record so I had to vote absentee. Like Jaimie said, if you didn't vote you better have a good reason why you didn't!
One thing I cant wait for when my term of service is over, is not having to cut my hair every week! Don't get me wrong, it looks clean and squared away, its just becoming over kill.
I tried teaching Jaimie the 24hr clock (aka military time) but she has a little hard time with it. I will, however, keep trying to teach her. I think all time should be on the 24hr system, it makes more sense....one of the few things the military does that make any lick of sense.
Just BC military and there dependents get free health care doesn't mean we should abuse it!!!! SOME ONE SHOULD NOT GET A $2,000 X-RAY FOR FREE, JUST BC THEY DON'T WANT TO GO TO WORK!!!!

This book I have been reading is GREAT! I love it so much it makes me cry and it also makes me happy! You should totally read the series Children of the promise its five volumes. So so good.

I am about less than a month away from finally finishing the book series "Children of the promise" its such a good series. I love it, I have this thing about reading books about the WWII and Jews. So once I finish that I will start reading something new. Don't know what it will be but I always know that it'll be something great. I can always continue my writing that I also enjoy so much or my baby outfits.
There really isn't much going on in my life at the moment all I am looking forward to is Bradd coming down to Arizona for a few weeks before he leaves for training. Ugh! I hate that he is all by himself in California and I am here in Arizona. Hmm maybe I should have moved down to Cali... that's an idea, but what will I do when he deploys? Gosh, it'll soon be time for that and I hope and pray with all I have that those months he is away go by so fast! I know that when he is gone that I will have the support of my family and friends. Whom I love so.. much!

So much has been on my mind lately. My deployment, getting married, missing Jaimie. I am starting to get more apprehensive about going to Iraq. It's crazy to think that I am actually going off to war. I fear I wont be as affective as I am trained to be. I fear I will buckle under what ever pressure is present. I fear I may not come back in one piece, if at all. I know Jaimie has a hard time with me going, but I am thankful for the support she gives me. I use to think that I would be better off going as a single man, but I now know that going as a man who is loved by such a great woman I have a much better chance of making it back home safe and sound. I finally chopped my hair off!!! I was hesitant to but Bradd convinced me that it'd be cute... I love my hair short, its much easier to straighten. Its been about a year since I've had short hair. OK, so yes it has been a long time since I have posted on our blog. Jaimie reminds me every other day. I just want to publicly say "I'm sorry baby love for not writing any thing".
Early this month I started working the day shift at the hospital. I thought it would be good for Jaimie and I, thought it would give us more time to talk during the day. It turns out that not only do I get more irritated at work during the day, but it makes it more difficult to talk to my luv bird. I miss working nights!!
Tomorrow is her BIRTHDAY!!!!! I loath that I can't be there for her!!! I feel so useless! I miss her something crazy!! I love her so fiercely! I am so proud of her. She is so strong. She puts up so much when it comes to me. She will have to put up with much more before things get better.
She has been writing more recently, and again I am so proud of her. She has so much talent. If only she saw what I see. She has so much to offer. She has so much swimming in that head of hers I cant wait till she unleashes it on paper.

I have started writing again! yay!! I love to write and for a while there I was a little discouraged about writing bc I wasn't going to school and stuff. I started working on a story that I think I will call " Journals of a Navy wife" inspired by my handsome Navy hottie! ;) I am very excited about this story because its going to hit very close to home and I will have to experience the deployment of my Bradd. Very sad! Any way, I hope to finish it within a year from now. That would be really awesome if I were able to publish it!!

I can not wait till December my baby love comes home!! well okay not exactly but whatever.
Hopefully he gets the days he requested off that way we'll have time to get things done and have time for each other. I am HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY lol
Bradd says am goof, I like to think of myself as unique lol. I know i am a dork and full of nonsense sometimes but I am glad he still loves me with all my silliness and my flaws because I wouldn't change who I am not for him not for anyone but myself!!

So... this morning Bradd over slept woke up a little later and was running late to work. Good thing he made it in time to work, 2 mins before his shift started. :)
I got to say that I dislike his working schedule, 12 hour shifts ugh!! From what I hear his "patients" so annoying and not very smart. Seriously, I would go insane if I were him, too much craziness ah! It all is just hateful hateful hateful I hate only getting a few hours to talk to him but I guess better than nothing right?
I should get going, not that I have anywhere to go but I should do something productive like.....cleaning??? lol

When I was younger, I would day dream about what it would be like to finally be with the woman of my dreams. Now that I have her I finally feel like myself. I finally feel like I can live life, and all the worries are gone. I love Jaimie more than I or any language in any culture, will ever be able to express. Even in the face of our arguments, and our struggles with my deploying....I still feel more happy than I ever thought possible. For the first time in my life I can honestly say I know how much I am cared for, and truly mean it. I love you Jaimie and I am honored to have you in my life!

Days till Deployment..

As most of you all know Bradd will be deploying in March of next year 2009. I am not happy about it. I am going to be missing him like crazy but I have to stay strong and positive that he'll come home safely and we'll be able to be and see each other daily rather then every few months.
Any way, He is a wonderful sweet guy. He tries so hard to be patient and understanding with me and makes me so happy. I love the fact that we can both be such dorks and act silly, I LOVE it!!!

I am thinking about you every second of every day and cannot wait until I see you again. We should never be apart this long again. I miss your kisses and your touch; I miss you so much. I hope that I can see you soon but until I do I will keep you in my dreams and in my heart, and remember that I love you and I always will. Some days life can be almost perfect, and other days it can be a cold hearted wench. Jaimie and I finally had the chance to be together on Aug 8th-10th. It was the greatest moments of my life to date. Leaving her was no easy task. When I told her that I was in fact deploying to Iraq it was the most difficult thing I have ever endure. It was almost as if I was breaking her heart. She is such a strong woman, and I can not explain how lucky I am to have her in my life. I know it is hard on her that we aren't able to be together now, and even more difficult with me deploying. I love her so much and don't want to even think about imagining my self with any one else. She is everything to me. Thank you Jaimie for finding me and saving me. I know you will be strong, and you will be waiting for me to return. I love you so much bunny boo!

I am a bit upset of the fact that Bradd is being deployed. I hate it and I don't know what I'll do. He'll be living in a different country and in dangerous conditions. Ugh I honestly dislike the whole military stuff.He tells me that its not as dangerous and all that crap but I don't really think its completely true. I will always worry about what he is doing and where he is at. I just hope he returns safely from this and we can be together again.I will be strong and try to cope with it as best as i can but don't promise to not freak out or cry and feel depressed.I love bradd so much and will miss him so very much.

The name game

Jaimie and I were talking about getting puppies when we finally got married. She kept asking me if she could have a tea cup poodle. At first I said no, b/c in my mind I had the image of a bigger poodle with all the unneeded hair styles. When she convinced me that she was not going to give the dog a poof ball for a tail or anything like that, I broke down and said I'm alright with her getting one. The one stipulation was that I got a golden retriever. We both wanted to get them when they were puppies, and we both wanted to name our own pup. She came up with the name Bella for her dog. I was, and still am having a hard time figuring out a name for mine. I asked her for some suggestions, but I'm starting to think I will have to do it on my own. The suggestions she gave me are Benson and Winston. Those are fine names, if we were getting a butler! Babe I am not naming the dog Benson or Winston. I thank you for the suggestions, but I don't think I could do that to the dog. I promise I wont name him Rusty.

The night we watched The Notebook

Last night Bradd and I watched The Notebook together. Well not exactly "together" but at the same exact time. It was like he was here next to me, and that made me feel so good. I can't wait for the day that we won't have to be separated from each other. It will be the greatest moment.

Bradd reminds me of Noah in some ways, the sweet and gentle "I will do anything to make you happy" type. I love that about Bradd. He is not willing to give up on me "us". The fact that he loves me back gives me butterflies every single time!

He is my prince charming the one I thought I wouldn't find or didn't exist. I know silly huh?, He is great I am so in love with Bradd.

Today I got GREAT news! Bradd emailed me to tell me he wasn't going! YES! As in not going to be deployed to Iraq. I am so happy!

Its tough, but we will make it through.

I am just having a hard time dealing with the that fact that Bradd is being deployed to Iraq. Not only do I not get to see him as much as I wish I could, I won't be able to see him at all for 7 months. It's not fair, but as he told me to look at it on a positive side, he is relieving another guy so they can come home and be with their families. That of course makes me feel a little selfish, because I don't and am not thinking about others and how everyone feels, but myself. I do hope that I will eventually stop worrying so much and be positive about it. I know that it will be hard for both us and his family. This is just another curve ball that life throws at you. I know that we'll make it through, I know it, but like Bradd always tells me it's going to get harder before it gets good. I can't wait for us to be together and get the chance to be sealed in the Temple for all eternity. My promise to Bradd is that I will be here waiting for his safe return home. I love him so much and can not imagine my life without him. I will write to you Bradd everyday, I will miss you and will pray for you always!
